Description: Our client is currently seeking a Regional Finance Business Partner (Sr. Manager level) (US Operations)

Reports To: Global Head of Financial Planning & Analysis
Team Size: Oversees 1 FTE
Job Overview
The Regional Finance Business Partner for the US Medical Business Unit serves as a trusted advisor to the Head of Operations at the US production site in North Charleston. This role leads quantitative and qualitative financial analysis, focusing on Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), facility costs, and capital expenditures (CAPEX). The position supports US Operations, partners closely with global FP&A, and plays a key role in financial decision-making and operational performance improvement.
Key Responsibilities
  • Act as Senior Finance Business Partner for US Operations, advising leadership on financial decisions to optimize gross profit and control costs.
  • Provide the COO and Head of Operations Taiwan with accurate data, deep analysis, and recommendations to support decisions and ad-hoc reporting needs.
  • Serve as primary point of contact for senior stakeholders and act as an informal leader for the FP&A team in Charleston.
  • Deliver monthly COGS reporting and variance analysis for the US production site; present findings to Group COO and Head of Operations.
  • Develop and distribute monthly reporting packages focused on manufacturing performance, including productivity, materials, operating expenses, and absorption.
  • Collect, consolidate, and report CAPEX needs for the US Operations and Facilities teams.
  • Collaborate with Global Finance Business Partners and site-level partners in Switzerland and Taiwan to standardize global product costing processes.
  • Support Operations and Facility teams in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
  • Assist in ramp-up efforts for major operational investments, including new or expanded US production facilities.
  • Implement KPIs for Operations, monitor performance trends, analyze results, and provide improvement recommendations.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance operational efficiency, financial performance, or business processes.
  • Support global cost-simulation initiatives by providing accurate data and understanding cost methodologies and calculations.
  • Encourage cross-functional collaboration and promote a "one team" approach within global Finance.

Required Experience & Skills
  • 10+ years of finance experience, including 3+ years in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • Experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device, or manufacturing industries.
  • Demonstrated leadership capability, ideally in an international or matrixed environment.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to translate complex financial data into clear, compelling management insights.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a solutions-oriented mindset.
  • Positive attitude with the ability to energize and engage teams.
  • Strong team player who can build trust at all organizational levels.
  • Resilient, responsible, and comfortable working in dynamic environments.
  • Expertise in SAP S4, SAP PS, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), SAP BW, or other BI systems.

Education Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Industrial Engineering, Science, or a related field.
