We are sharing a specialised part-time consulting opportunity for Hong Kong-based legal professionals experienced in litigation, corporate law, transactional work, public legal document research, source verification, and structured legal documentation workflows.

This role supports current and upcoming remote consulting opportunities focused on Hong Kong legal document collection, public-source legal research, litigation and transactional document review, structured dataset preparation, and high-quality project execution. Selected professionals will apply their Hong Kong legal expertise to compile, organize, verify, and document publicly available legal materials according to defined project guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

Professionals in this role may contribute to:

Hong Kong Legal Document Collection

  • Collect and organize publicly available Hong Kong legal documents based on structured project requirements
  • Review legal materials connected to litigation, corporate matters, transactional work, regulatory filings, or public legal sources
  • Ensure collected documents are accurate, complete, clearly organized, and aligned with project specifications
  • Support structured preparation of legal datasets for internal testing, benchmarking, and demonstration workflows

Source Verification & Legal Research Support

  • Verify that all materials are obtained from public, accessible, and verifiable sources
  • Review source details, document context, publication status, and jurisdictional relevance
  • Apply familiarity with Hong Kong legal and regulatory document sources to locate appropriate materials efficiently
  • Identify incomplete records, unclear source trails, duplicate materials, and documentation gaps

Structured Documentation & Quality Review

  • Follow defined documentation standards, file organization rules, and quality-control requirements
  • Prepare clear notes, source references, and organizational summaries where needed
  • Collaborate asynchronously with project stakeholders and meet defined timelines
  • Maintain accuracy, consistency, confidentiality awareness, and professional judgment across submitted work

Ideal Profile

Strong candidates may have:

  • Prior experience in Hong Kong litigation, corporate law, transactional law, regulatory work, legal research, legal documentation, or related legal practice
  • Familiarity with Hong Kong legal systems, court materials, corporate filings, regulatory sources, and public legal databases
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured documentation requirements
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage legal materials clearly
  • Ability to work independently and deliver high-quality outputs on short timelines
  • Clear written communication skills and strong source-verification judgment

Educational Background

  • Legal education or professional legal qualification in Hong Kong or a comparable common-law jurisdiction is strongly preferred
  • Background in litigation, corporate law, transactional law, legal research, regulatory work, or legal operations is highly relevant
  • Equivalent practical experience in Hong Kong legal documentation, public legal research, or legal dataset preparation may also be valuable

Nice to Have

  • Experience at a Hong Kong law firm, in-house legal team, corporate services provider, regulatory environment, or legal research role
  • Familiarity with litigation filings, judgments, corporate documents, transactional materials, regulatory notices, public registries, or legal information platforms
  • Experience compiling legal datasets, organizing public-source materials, reviewing legal documents, or preparing structured research outputs
  • Strong comfort working with spreadsheets, document repositories, naming conventions, source logs, and asynchronous review workflows
  • Strong attention to detail in legal, jurisdiction-specific, and documentation-heavy environments

Why This Opportunity

  • Apply Hong Kong legal expertise to structured remote project work
  • Contribute to high-quality legal document collection, source verification, and dataset preparation
  • Work on flexible assignments aligned with your legal research or practice background
  • Use your legal judgment in a focused, detail-oriented documentation environment
  • Remote structure with competitive hourly compensation

Contract Details

  • Independent contractor role
  • Fully remote with flexible scheduling
  • Part-time commitment depending on project availability
  • Competitive rates between $105–$155 per hour depending on expertise
  • Weekly payments via Stripe or Wise
  • Projects may be extended, shortened, or adjusted depending on scope and performance
