This position is 90% on-site in New Bern, NC / 10% travel to Newport, RI and other DoD installations with possible OCONUS/Foreign travel. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and deliver software features. * Participate in technical efforts to support program and prototype requirements.

* Apply analytical techniques to evaluate data and reach conclusions. * Contribute to code review, unit testing, and provide constructive feedback. * Assist in managing codebase maintenance, refactoring, and optimization.

* Proactively optimize and improve code efficiency and performance. * Maintain a clean codebase with up-to-date documentation. * Adhere to established coding best practices and standards.

* Actively seek guidance from Senior Developer(s) on technical matters. * Take initiative to identify areas for improvement and implement changes. REQUIREMENTS: * 2-5 years of experience in software development.

* Proven track record in coding, testing, and collaboration on production grade projects. * Proficient in Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript. * Understanding of SQL database management systems.

* Experience with cloud-based platforms such as AWS or Azure. * Knowledge of DBMS models (relational and NoSQL). * Familiarity with the software development lifecycle, coding best practices, and Agile methodologies.

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Strong communication skills and attention to detail. * Basic understanding of data analysis techniques.

* Demonstrated willingness to learn and grow as a developer. * Eligibility for a U.S. SECRET security clearance.

EDUCATION: * Bachelor of Science (BS) or higher in a related field (e.g., Computer Science, Software Engineering). PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: * Familiarity with Java development (optional). * Experience or familiarity with AI NLP models * Experience with developing ML models.
