Job description

Description:

We are seeking an energetic team member with eagle eyes to provide security for our property and team. You will be responsible for ensuring the safety of all guests and team members through ongoing surveillance of all areas of the hotel.


This position may require flexible scheduling availability.

Requirements:

Job Requirements:

  • Recognizing and reporting potential safety hazards
  • Identifying and correcting potential security problems including warning or ejecting when necessary
  • Patrolling lobbies, corridors, and public areas to provide surveillance
  • Notifying staff of any persons with questionable reputations
  • Obtaining assistance for accident victims and writing accident reports
  • Assisting management and enforcement officers in emergency situations
  • Report in writing on all activities during each shift before leaving the hotel


Job Qualifications:

  • Ability to follow brand and IHM standard operating procedures to prepare food and beverage items
  • Highly motivated team player with strong initiative and desire for achievement
  • Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary
  • Ability to work well in stressful situations
  • Basic knowledge of how to operate all Food and Beverage equipment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit or walk for an extended period of time. The number of hours you will be scheduled to work during the week is variable and is based on guest occupancy, season, staffing and other factors. Island Hospitality is unable to guarantee a specific number of work hours per week.
