Job Description
The Investment Operations Automation Analyst supports the delivery of scalable, controlled, and efficient operating models across Investment Operations. The role focuses on automating manual, inefficient and risk prone processes by designing and deploying workflow automation and AI enabled solutions, including leveraging Microsoft Copilot and AI agents, in close partnership with Operations teams.
This role is hands on, delivery oriented, and embedded within day to day Investment Operations, contributing directly to efficiency, cost effectiveness, control enhancement, and operational resilience.
Automation & AI Enablement
  • Design, build, and deploy workflow automation using Microsoft Power Platform tools (Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI) to streamline Investment Operations processes.
  • Develop and maintain AI enabled solutions, including Copilot Studio AI agents, to support task triage, exception handling, data retrieval, and operational decision support.
  • Replace manual or inefficient workflows with automated, auditable, and scalable solutions.

Process Improvement & Business Partnership
  • Partner with Middle Office, Fund Operations, and Private Markets Operations teams to identify automation opportunities and operational pain points.
  • Translate business requirements into clear functional designs and delivered solutions.
  • Support prioritization of initiatives based on impact, feasibility, and risk reduction, in partnership with Operations leadership.

Data, Controls & Reporting
  • Build dashboards and management information to provide visibility into operational performance, exceptions, and workflow status.
  • Embed validation checks, controls, and audit trails into automated processes to support governance, risk, and regulatory expectations.
  • Track and evidence benefits including time savings, error reduction, and process standardization.

Change & Adoption
  • Support user adoption through documentation, training materials, and operational handover.

Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and wider Operational transformation programs across L&G US.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, finance, or related field
  • 1-3 years of experience developing and implementing automation technology in workflows, ideally in asset management industry
  • Experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI)
  • Exposure to AI enabled tooling, including Copilot or AI agent development, or similar
  • Experience within Investment Operations, Fund Operations, Middle Office a plus
  • Strong process mindset with experience improving or automating operational workflows
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with high attention to detail and control awareness
  • Ability to work closely with business users and translate operational needs into practical solutions
  • Understanding of operational risk, controls, and audit considerations
  • A self-starter who is vocal in identifying areas of improved efficiency and offers potential solutions
  • Excellent analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication, collaboration, and time management skills

Additional Information
$65,000 to $75,000
The starting salary offer will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to the applicant's education, job-related experience, skills, and abilities, geographic location, and market factors. This position is also eligible to participate in the company's annual discretionary bonus plan.
