Job description

Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Position Overview
A school district in the Alamogordo, New Mexico area is seeking a qualified School Psychologist (PreK–12) for a full-time assignment during the upcoming school year. This position will primarily focus on evaluations and assessment services, with some opportunity for direct student support.
This is a great opportunity for both experienced professionals and Level 1 / intern School Psychologists looking to gain hands-on experience in a supportive school environment.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct psychoeducational evaluations and Multidisciplinary Evaluations (MFEs)
Provide assessment results and recommendations to support student success and eligibility decisions
Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with the IEP team
Deliver limited direct services as needed
Work alongside teachers, administrators, and related service providers
Travel between assigned school sites (district will provide mileage reimbursement)
Maintain accurate and compliant documentation aligned with special education guidelines


Qualifications

Active or eligible New Mexico School Psychologist Certification required
Open to Level 1 School Psychologists and interns
Strong understanding of evaluation processes, IEPs, and student assessments
Ability to collaborate effectively in a school-based setting
Strong organizational and communication skills
