WhatWe'reLooking For:

  • The Network Engineer II is responsible for implementing, maintaining, and supporting the organization's network infrastructure. This role ensures continuity, security, scalability, and high availability of network services across the enterprise.

    The position operates with a high degree of independence and works closely with the Network Architect, fellow Network Engineers, and Management to support implementation of network designs and operational improvements. The Network Engineering team works in close collaboration with the Systems Infrastructure team to ensure reliable connectivity for server, storage, and core infrastructure services.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Technologyor a related field or equivalent combination of education and work experience

  • Cisco certificationrequired(CCNA, CCDA, CCNP, or similar)

  • - Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP), QoS, VPNs, and network segmentation.

    - Hands-on experience with enterprise-grade switches, routers, firewalls, and application delivery controllers including Cisco, Fortinet, Aruba, and Citrix NetScaler platforms.

    - Experience implementing and supporting enterprise wireless LAN environments.

    - Familiarity with network monitoring and alerting tools (SolarWinds, PRTG, OpManager, or similar platforms).

    - Strong understanding of network security principles and best practices.

  • Experience working in ahealthcare environment preferred

What You Will Do:

Responsible formaintainingand supporting local and wide-area networks (LAN/WAN). This role includes planning, evaluation, configuration, acquisition, design, installation, testing, maintenance, and coordination of network systems. The Network Engineer II supports day-to-day network operations, troubleshoots network issues, and coordinates with vendors for network-related equipment installations.

Essential job functions include, but are not limited to:

  • Plan, design, configure, andmaintainLAN/WAN network infrastructure

  • Support and troubleshoot network connectivity and performance issues

  • Coordinate with vendors for installation, maintenance, and upgrades of network equipment

  • Perform project planning, solution design, cost analysis, and vendor comparisons

  • Integrate network systems and implement ongoing modifications and enhancements

  • Support IP, voice, and LAN/WAN services

  • Maintain network security and reliability in a healthcare environment

  • Monitor andmaintainnetwork performance using network monitoring tools

  • Maintain knowledge of current networking technologies and healthcare IT standards

  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA and organizational safety requirements

  • Perform all other duties as assigned
