POSITION SUMMARY:
The Talent Acquisition Program Coordinator plays a key role in shaping the intern and co-op experience by designing and executing onboarding and engagement strategies that support both candidate success and evolving business needs. In close partnership with campus recruiters, this role helps standardize processes, drive continuous improvement projects, and enhance the overall intern/co-op program.
The Program Coordinator collaborates with leaders, supervisors, and mentors to ensure readiness and alignment, while creating opportunities for connection, professional growth, and a strong sense of belonging. This position blends strategic thinking with hands-on execution to deliver a high-quality, consistent experience that strengthens the early talent pipeline.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Manages enterprise Internship/Co-Op Program in collaboration with campus recruiting team to include coordinating virtual programming and monitor programming effectiveness.

  • Advises Intern Co-Op Advisory Board (ICAB) by sharing best practices to promote business unit specific programs, creates resources and training (in collaboration with HR stakeholders) to support mentor and supervisor experience and plan annual program kick-off.

  • Collaborates with campus recruiters, discipline leads, and supervisors to facilitate campus recruitment strategy conversation annually.

  • Facilitates processing of approved campus funding budget in collaboration with Talent Acquisition leadership.

  • Partners with various stakeholders to ensure that the SharePoint or Teams collaboration sites are updated and remain relevant.

  • Assists with day-to-day review of recruiting collateral in partnership with University Relations and Business Unit recruiting campus teams.

  • Onboarding & Orientation Support:

  • Lead onboarding and orientation experiences for interns and early-career hires, ensuring clarity, readiness, and connection from Day 1.

  • I/C Programming:

  • Facilitating the Intern/Co-op Program engagement experience from offer accepted to full-time conversion.

  • Partner with various business leaders and HR partners to integrate structured learning into the internship experience, including:

  • Skill-building and career development/readiness workshops

  • End of Term presentation preparation

  • Engagement Events & Community Building:

  • Design and deliver engagement programming such as networking events, executive speaker series, peer learning cohorts, and community-building initiatives.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Develop toolkits, training, and resources for intern/co-op supervisors and mentors to ensure high-quality coaching and feedback.

  • Support governance and consistency by maintaining standardized program SOPs, toolkits, recruiter playbooks, interviewer training guides, and other resources that enable efficient and consistent execution across all campus locations.

  • Gather and analyze program data and feedback (e.g. intern survey results, program participation, conversion and retention data). Use insights to continuously improve program design and recruiting strategies, and to keep stakeholders informed of early talent outcomes and opportunities.

  • Participate in National Association of College & Employers (NACE) workshops and other organizations that promote the early career and university relations readiness.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Marketing or Communications.

  • Four (4) or more years of program management experience, preferably related to talent acquisition.

  • Client facing capabilities with a proven ability to build solid relationships.

SKILLS:
  • Strong knowledge of university/campus recruiting, internship/co-op programs, and early career talent development practices.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and organization needs simultaneously and work effectively in a fast-paced, high-output environment.
  • Adapts seamlessly to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Comfortable working with ambiguity and limited information and engaging clients to reach clarity.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication skills and a high level of interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of staff.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and organization needs simultaneously and work effectively in a fast-paced, high-output environment.
  • Client facing capabilities with a proven ability to build and maintain solid relationships.
  • Data-driven mindset with ability to track metrics and drive continuous improvement.

TRAVEL:
  • Travel will be required in this role.

  • During the on-campus recruiting season (September-October; and Mid-January - February) can be up to 25% of the business week.

  • Outside of the on-campus recruiting season travel may be up to 10%
