Job description

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Network Engineer onsite in Brandon, FL.
Overview:
We are seeking a mid-level Network Engineer. The ideal candidate will have strong firewall experience, a solid foundation in enterprise networking, and familiarity with cloud environments-particularly AWS. While deep cloud networking expertise is not mandatory, candidates should understand how cloud environments interact with network operations. This position is onsite and will initially work with the internal team for onboarding and project alignment.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Support (60%):
* Implement network changes as needed to support infrastructure
* Identify network and firewall requirements for internal systems
* Troubleshoot and resolve network issues affecting projects
* Coordinate with the Data & Analytics team to align network needs with overall data strategies
Network Operations Support (40%):
* Support network operations by providing project support for various internal network technology initiatives
* Support and maintain CISCO ACI Fabric deployments
* Participate in network upgrades, optimizations, and troubleshooting for enterprise networks
REQUIREMENTS:
* 3-7+ years of experience in Network Engineering
* Hands-on firewall experience (Check Point strongly preferred)
* Solid understanding of enterprise networking concepts (routing, switching, VPNs)
* Familiarity with AWS cloud environments (understanding of cloud networking concepts)
* Strong problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration skills
* Ability to work onsite in Brandon, FL
* Experience with Palo Alto firewalls (nice to have)
* Understanding of CloudGuard (beneficial)
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
