Job Description
We are seeking a Director of Product: Computer Vision Solutions to own and drive the development of the most strategic initiatives in our emerging technology portfolio.
In this role, you will be responsible for defining, delivering, and scaling computer vision-based solutions built for Fortune 50 retailers. These products combine cutting-edge optics, AI models, and custom hardware to solve real-world operational problems in dynamic, high-volume retail environments.
You will operate at the intersection of deep technical complexity and customer-facing execution, leading cross-functional teams across the full lifecycle, from early research and prototyping through pilot deployments and global rollout.
This role requires both technical credibility and end-to-end product leadership, with a strong bias toward execution in physical, real-world systems.
Main Activities and Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Vision
  • Own the long-term product vision and roadmap for computer vision solutions across the company's emerging technology portfolio.
  • Identify high-impact retail use cases where vision-based systems can deliver measurable operational and financial value.
  • Balance innovation with deployability, ensuring solutions are scalable, reliable, and production ready.
  • Define success metrics across accuracy, latency, robustness, cost, and customer ROI.

Product Development & Execution
  • Lead the end-to-end product lifecycle for complex CV systems, from concept and feasibility through pilot and scale.
  • Partner deeply with engineering teams across,
    • Mechanical & Industrial Design
    • Electrical Engineering
    • Embedded Systems & Firmware
    • Optics & Imaging
    • Cloud & Software Platforms
    • AI / Computer Vision & Data Science
  • Guide architectural decisions spanning hardware, edge compute, and cloud services.
  • Ensure tight integration between data collection, model training, validation, and real-world performance.

Field Deployment & Customer Engagement
  • Work closely with field deployment and product operations teams to ensure solutions perform reliably in live retail environments.
  • Engage directly with enterprise customers to validate requirements, gather feedback, and refine solutions.
  • Translate customer pain points into clear technical and product requirements.
  • Support pilots, proofs of technology, and early commercial deployments.

Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Serve as the connective tissue between R&D, engineering, operations, and go-to-market teams.
  • Clearly communicate product direction, tradeoffs, and progress to executive leadership.
  • Establish processes that enable fast iteration while maintaining quality and accountability.

Qualifications
What's Required
  • 8+ years of experience in product management or product leadership roles.
  • Strong technical background in one or more of the following,
    • Computer Vision
    • Optics / Imaging Systems
    • Embedded or Electrical Engineering
  • Proven experience delivering end-to-end physical products that combine hardware, software, and AI.
  • Demonstrated ability to work across highly multidisciplinary engineering teams.
  • Experience supporting real-world deployments of complex systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to Have Skills
  • Experience delivering products for large enterprise or Fortune 50 customers.
