Job description

Hunt Electric, Inc. is looking for a full-time CDL Heavy Equipment Transport Driver. This position reports to the Fleet Manager. It requires a good knowledge of safely loading, properly blocking, bracing, and securing cargo. A valid Class A CDL license is a must.
The CDL Heavy Equipment Transport Driver position requires self-motivation and self-management of work with strong interpersonal skills to meet with users in a face-to-face environment. This is not just a driving position, when not driving, responsibilities include helping our mechanic shop to maintain and clean equipment, as well as keep the yards clean and organized.
Major Duties:
  • Load and Secure Equipment for transpiration to various sites.
  • Transportation of Equipment, supplies, and materials to various sites within Utah and the surrounding states.
  • Assist our mechanics with in-house repairs and diagnose other issues as needed.
  • Ability to multi task.
  • Ability to drive a vehicle safely.
  • Demonstrates dependability with regular attendance and compliance to scheduled work hours.
  • Actively contributes to a positive team environment.
  • Other duties or locations as assigned by Manager.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Clean background and MVR.
  • Experience hauling construction equipment and hauling low-boy trailers.
  • Know how to safely load, properly block, brace, and secure cargo.
  • Experience with running various types of heavy construction equipment including track hoe, backhoe, forklift, and loader.
  • Mechanically inclined with a general mechanical applauded (Auto and Diesel).
  • Have a valid Class A CDL with no restrictions.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a valid medical certificate or ability to obtain one.
