Intermountain Electronics (IE) is a leading provider and manufacturer of custom engineered Process, Electrical Control and Power Distribution turn-key solutions to the Data Center, Industrial, Power/Utility, Oil & Gas, Mining industries in North America. Our products range from large scale one-off custom Power Distribution, Control and Process systems to standard off-the-shelf electronic/electro-mechanical components. Reporting directly to the Rebuild Supervisor we are currently seeking a Shop Custodian for our Afternoon Shift to be based at our Price, Utah facility.

Job Description

Job Title: Shop Custodian

Job Status: Full Time

Position Summary: Keeps the shop production and warehouse floors clean by gathering the garbage and hauling it to the city dump.


Work Schedule: Monday - Thursday 3:00 pm - 1:30 am


Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Other duties as assigned.

Primary Duties -

  • Empty shop floor garbage containers into company trailer.
  • Gather boxes, cardboard, pallets, and other loose garbage from the shop floor.
  • Operate various types, sizes, makes of forklifts.
  • Operate a company truck and pull a trailer.
  • Haul the garbage to the city dump.
  • Help perform any necessary cleanup functions.
  • Operate the floor sweeper.
  • Perform general labor functions as needed.
  • Assist maintenance mechanic as needed.

Building Mover

Primary Duties:

  • Place lifting eyes on the building
  • Move building within the facility, maintaining leveling as needed
  • Put on wheels and hitch
  • Place building on 2/4โ€™s and blocks
  • Help load building on trucks

Other essential duties:

  • Help with shop maintenance as needed
  • Maintains regular and consistent job attendance. Comes to work on time.
  • Follows IEโ€™s safety standards and programs including Cardinal Safety Rules
  • Follows and complies with IE Core Values

Requirements:

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
  • Ability to handle heavy equipment. Must be able to operate a forklift.
  • Ability to observe safety and security procedures and to comply with policies
  • Ability to read and interpret written information; ability to write clear statements; ability to communicate orally
  • Must be able to do physical work and operate power equipment normally found in janitorial operations
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to follow schedules and keep commitments
  • Ability to follow directions from a supervisor
  • Ability to demonstrate professionalism
  • Must be able to manage time efficiently and to work individually as well as within a team.
  • Must be able to obtain a forklift certification.
  • The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 75 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision, Distance vision, Peripheral vision, Depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.
  • Must comply with and follow all IE standards, programs, policies, and procedures as they apply to this position, reports any unsafe condition immediately.

Work Schedule: Must be able to work a 40-hour work week and additional time as required.
