The Client Sales Manager, Distribution will be responsible for sales and business development activities for the Distribution line of business with European clients. This includes growing orders and revenue by establishing and capturing new long-term Client partnerships as well as strategic account management within our existing Client portfolio for AMS Distribution. This position is remote, and to be based in the UK requiring up to 50% travel.


Job Description / Duties and Responsibilities

· Development and aggressive pursuit of a robust client acquisition pipeline for the Distribution line of business to establish high quality, long-term partnerships

· Lead engagement with prospective Clients to generate interest and deliver value propositions, including ownership of the Incubator to Client conversion strategy

· Play a key role in the strategic account management of our existing Client portfolio.

· Identify new business opportunities, emerging client needs, and market trends.

· Report on progress and capture plans including active participation in weekly and monthly business reviews.

· Work in partnership with members of the Distribution team and other AMS business segments to collaborate on opportunities

· Travel in support of business opportunities relating to Clients, prospective Clients, customers, and industry trade events, bringing knowledge, opportunities, and business intelligence back to internal business stakeholders

Requirements:

Minimum Job Requirements

· Possess a "hunter" mindset – be hands-on with a tenacious focus on identifying, cultivating and closing new business opportunities

· Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively, with strong organizational and time-management skills utilizing a CRM

· Self-motivated and results-driven, with excellent problem-solving and negotiation skills

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders

· Ability to balance curiosity, strategic thinking and creativity, and to leverage these strengths to comprehend our business and market & competencies, understand our customers' requirements, and deliver viable growth opportunities

Education and Experience Requirements

· A minimum of 5+ years of experience with proven and demonstrable results in business development and sales required, preferably in the defense market

· Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university

· Experience operating within an integrated sales team in a complex trading environment

· Proven ability to utilize a CRM tool effectively to drive productivity and improve customer experience

· Extensive experience working with military requirements, acquisition, and operational agencies

· Must have excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of tools

· Able to regularly visit key divisions customers

· Willing and able to work extended hours when necessary

Preferred:

· Technical sales/business development

· Military and / or Defense background

· Background/experience with defense OEMs and related platforms
