RN Risk Manager

North Dade Nursing & Rehabilitation Center

North Miami, Florida

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team as a Risk Manager at North Dade Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. As a valued member of our interdisciplinary healthcare team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest quality of care for our patients.

About the Role:

As a Risk Manager, you will be responsible for identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks that could impact patient care, outcomes, and organizational reputation. You will work closely with our clinical staff, administration, and regulatory agencies to develop and implement effective risk management strategies. RN Risk Manager will also be responsible for conducting thorough investigations, analyzing trends, and developing recommendations for improving patient safety and reducing liability.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough investigations of reported incidents, near-miss events, and sentinel events to identify root causes and develop corrective actions
• Develop and implement risk management policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards
• Collaborate with clinical staff to identify and mitigate risks associated with patient care, including medication errors, falls, and pressure ulcers
• Provide education and training to staff on risk management principles, patient safety, and quality improvement initiatives
• Analyze trends and patterns in reported incidents to identify areas for improvement and develop recommendations for reducing harm and improving outcomes
• Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory agencies, insurance companies, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely reporting of incidents and claims

Requirements:

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Florida
• Proven experience in risk management, quality improvement, or patient safety
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
