Position Summary:
The Research Assistant will support research on the history of Nigerianeducation. This will include searching the archives, gathering material, conducting literaturereviews, synthesizing archival findings, drafting articles and chapters, editing and crosschecking references, and providing overall research support. This may include thedevelopment of research proposals. The position may include travel to archives andlibraries. This is a summer-only position, and the contract will not be extended. The RA musthave a keen interest in Black and African studies, the politics of education, and educationpolicy studies, including knowledge of the decolonization of education in the internationalcontext. The candidate for this position requires strong organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as reflected inthe weekly expected outputs..
Qualifications Required (skills and abilities, education, language skills):
Education/experience requirements: Enrolled in a graduate program in Education orrelated fields. Previous experience as a research assistant is required.
Additional qualifying skills and abilities: Strong writing, analytical, communication, andorganizational skills with keen attention to detail.

Schedule/hours: 5-10 hours per week, with a maximum total of 100 hours.
