Job description

Tabs is the leading AI-native revenue platform for modern finance and accounting teams. Tabs agents automate the entire contract-to-cash lifecycle, including billing, collections, revenue recognition, and reporting, to help teams eliminate manual work and accelerate cash flow.
High-growth companies like Cursor and Statsig rely on Tabs to generate invoices directly from contracts, reconcile payments in real time, and automate ASC 606 compliance.
Founded in 2023, Tabs has raised over $91 million from Lightspeed Venture Partners, General Catalyst, and Primary. The team is headquartered in New York and brings deep expertise in finance and AI.
If you're a high-agency generalist who thrives at the intersection of strategy and execution, we want to meet you - even if we don't have an open req that fits today. This is an opportunistic opportunity and a general application posting for exceptional talent as we continue to grow.
About the Role
We don't hire Strategy & Operations talent to fill seats - we hire them to take on the problems nobody else owns. Sitting close to the founders and leadership team, you'd pick up the most pressing cross-functional problems at Tabs and drive them from diagnosis to execution.
What You'd Do
  • Own ambiguous, high-priority problems end-to-end - from diagnosis to execution
  • Build the financial models, dashboards, and analyses leadership needs to make decisions with conviction
  • Design and run cross-functional initiatives spanning Product, GTM, Finance, and Operations
  • Stand up new teams or functions when we don't yet have a dedicated owner
  • Turn one-off analyses into durable systems, playbooks, and automation so the next person doesn't start from scratch
  • Act as a thought partner to founders and the exec team on the questions that don't have obvious answers
Who You Are
  • 2-10 years of experience; open to Associate through Senior Manager based on fit
  • Background in an operating role at a high-growth startup, consulting, investment banking, or PE/VC
  • Strong analytical toolkit: you can build a clean model, cut data in SQL or a BI tool, and translate comfortably between quantitative and qualitative framing
  • Crisp written and verbal communication
  • Bias toward action: you don't need a perfect process to start making something better
  • High ownership mentality - you close the loop, and things don't fall through the cracks on your watch
  • Genuine curiosity about finance, AI, and how a modern AI company actually runs
Additional Information
This is a general application for opportunistic hiring. We don't have a specific opening mapped to this role today - we have various openings we can review against or potentially build a role around you! Exact title, scope, and seniority will be calibrated to your background.
This role is based in New York City, 5 days a week at our Soho office. Tabs is a high-execution, fully in-person team.
Perks and Benefits (Full-time Employees)
  • Competitive compensation and equity
  • Unlimited PTO
  • Up to 100% employer covered monthly healthcare premium (medical, dental, vision)
  • Lunch provided via Sharebite, plus dinner for any later in office days.
  • Parental leave up to 12 weeks
  • Tax free commuter and parking benefits
  • Voluntary insurances (Life, Hospital, Critical Illness, Accident)
  • Employee Assistance Program (Rightway)
  • Free One Medical Membership
  • 401k

Tabs is an equal opportunity employer. We welcome teammates of all identities and do not discriminate on the basis of race, ethnicity, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, disability, veteran status, or any other protected characteristic. We're committed to creating an environment where everyone can grow, contribute, and feel comfortable being themselves.
