Job Title: Epic HIM Analyst
Location: Houston, TX
Job Type: Contract


Position Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Epic HIM (Health Information Management) Analyst to support clinical documentation and health information workflows within a healthcare environment. This role focuses on the configuration, optimization, and ongoing support of Epic HIM modules, ensuring accurate chart completion, coding processes, deficiency tracking, and release of information (ROI) workflows.


Key Responsibilities
  • Configure, build, and maintain Epic HIM modules
  • Support workflows related to chart completion, coding, deficiency tracking, and release of information
  • Collaborate with HIM staff, coders, clinicians, and IT teams to gather requirements and implement system enhancements
  • Ensure data integrity, documentation accuracy, and compliance with regulatory standards
  • Perform system testing, including unit, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT)
  • Troubleshoot system issues and workflow inefficiencies
  • Assist with system upgrades, enhancements, and go-live support
  • Develop and maintain documentation for system configurations and workflows
  • Provide ongoing support and training to end users

Required Qualifications
  • Epic HIM Certification (required)
  • 3+ years of experience supporting Epic HIM or health information management systems
  • Strong understanding of HIM workflows, including coding, chart completion, and ROI processes
  • Experience with system build, configuration, and testing
  • Knowledge of healthcare documentation standards and compliance requirements
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in hospital or large healthcare environments
  • Familiarity with coding standards (ICD-10, CPT) and regulatory requirements
  • Experience supporting Epic upgrades, enhancements, and optimization initiatives
