RER Solutions, Inc., is accepting resumes for a Human Resources Support Consultant to become a part of our superior workforce. The Human Resources Support Consultant will provide federal program support.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Consult with the hiring managers in their assigned organizations on hiring options - direct hire, delegated Maintain awareness of HC initiatives, policy changes, and processes involved in the hiring of GS and Executive employees
  • Coordinate the classification and draft PDs, if needed, with HC and hiring managers
  • Oversee the recruitment process as it occurs, ensuring the actions are progressing promptly
  • Coordinate the resolution of issues that impact the progression of an action
  • Participate in updating the main action status tracker
  • Provide status of actions in weekly and ad hoc meetings
  • Work with the Resource Management team in developing streamlined processes to improve efficiencies
  • Assist with ongoing responsibilities with recruitment - onboarding, maintaining PD library, and metrics
  • Draft policy and procedure documents, standard operating procedures, and user help guides
  • Provide policy interpretation on rules and regulations as well as directives and standards related to employment, classification, and pay management
  • Assist the Resources Management team with responding to human resource policy and hiring questions/issues
  • Participate with management in the early planning of all aspects of staffing, including identifying recruitment needs, developing alternative recruitment approaches/strategies to meet needs, identifying and cultivating recruitment sources, researching new electronic mechanisms for effective recruitment, and developing lines of career progression, etc
  • Help administratively to support the evaluation of FEVS results and support the development of the post-FEVS action plan, as well as administratively support the Employee Engagement Workforce Advisory Group (EEWAG) (agenda development, minutes, action items, etc)
  • Support the creation and development of Human Capital data/briefing memos for Resource Management leadership
  • Execute talent management and employee engagement activities
  • Review FEVS results and work with staff and leadership to understand drivers of staff engagement and scores
  • Assist the EEWAG with developing options for leadership designed to encourage staff participation and improve morale

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of US Citizenship required to obtain client-issued Public Trust
  • Federal HR experience in hiring, hiring policies, development of position descriptions, job analysis, and vacancy announcement
  • Experience working directly with the Department of Energy Office of Human Capital is strongly preferred
  • Must be able to work to tight deadlines independently and yet still be team-oriented 
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and an understanding of fundamental business writing
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office Products (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
