ENT Opening in Gloversville, New YorkLocated 1 hour from Albany, NY and 45 minutes from Saratoga, NYPosition Details:

  • Full-time
  • Permanent position
  • Medical center is looking for a full time Otolaryngologist to join its growing network.
  • This position is available based on the growing needs of the community for this service
  • Small hospital located in Gloversville, NY. The health system has a strong panel of patient-centered, multidisciplinary Providers serving Fulton, Montgomery and Hamilton Counties. This network is the basis for your patient panel.
  • The practice will be moving to a bigger office and will have on-site scope resource support. They also plan to develop an allergy practice, as well.
  • Position Structure:
  • Work in the ENT practice.
  • A daytime call schedule will be constructed with the other Physician in the group and would provide full coverage for weekday daytimes. You
  • would also construct a rounding schedule for the execution of overnight accumulated consults.
  • Office hours would be 8:30am to 5pm.
  • You would have access to an Advanced Practice Provider in the office who could round with you or assist with inpatient or surgical work if necessary.
  • As to night and weekend call, with other small specialty groups, the practice requires 7 nights of ER call (sparse) and 10 nights of call for patients of the practice. These times would be concurrent. You would occasionally receive calls from the ER or the Hospitalists regarding something urgent, such as need to transfer, etc.
  • The practice could do a 4 days/week or 5 days/week position and consider it Full time.
  • Compensation would depend on the conditions you choose. The hospital starts at the MGMA Salary median for your specialty in the geographic region.
  • Benefits: 6 weeks off and 7 paid holidays, Individual Occurrence Malpractice, all dues, licenses, etc. paid, CME allowance, Family Health Insurance is paid by the hospital, sign on bonus and reimbursed moving costs.
  • Additional Details:
  • Sites are well-run, full of loyal and smart support staff. The hospital is independently owned and operated.
  • The group has been in the black for the past 20 years and we are not looking for a partner or affiliate. 85% of the hospitals revenue comes from the strong network of outpatient practice and the patient loyalty that they possess.
  • The system has a network of 11 centers, most recently opening one in Broadalbin, NY this past April. Will be opening one in Perth/Amsterdam next year that will be open access Primary Care, with Quick N Sick
  • (our version of Urgent Care) working 7 days a week. The group has an outpatient Endoscopy Center as well.
  • Employed specialties include: Ob/Gyn, Pulmonology, Neurology, Urology, General Surgery, Gastroenterology, Anesthesiology, Pediatrics, Internal Medicine, Occupational Health, Family Practice, ENT, Audiology and Podiatry.
