Job description

Job Type
Full-time
Description
Who we are: Advanced Radiology Services is one of the largest 100% physician-owned and managed practices in the country. Our team includes 190 radiologists, 40 advanced practice providers, and more than 200 employees providing administrative support in our wholly owned subsidiary STARS. We are committed to remaining independent and providing the highest level of care to our patients. We value diversity on our team and promote a culture of inclusion.
What we do: We provide services to more than 60 different sites across the state of Michigan. ARS is the exclusive radiology provider to West Michigan's largest Level I trauma center and research hospital, Corewell Health. American College of Radiology has designated Corewell a Diagnostic Center for Excellence
What we are looking for: We are currently accepting applicants for a Musculoskeletal Imaging position in Grand Rapids. The successful candidate will dedicate a significant percentage of clinical time to Musculoskeletal Imaging in a combination of on-site and remote shifts. The remainder of the time will be determined based on preference but may include cross-sectional, ER, and general imaging shifts. This is a full time, partnership track position. Our standard track physicians work 39 weeks and 11 weekends, and have 13 weeks of vacation. We have adjusted our on-site hospital shift hours to provide parity with work-from-home shifts in our schedule. Our radiologists receive an additional stipend for select on-site shifts.
Responsibilities:
• Interpretation of diagnostic studies with a focus on MSK ultrasound
• Performance of MSK image-guided procedures including arthrography and pain injections
• Teaching of radiology residents
• General radiology skills
Compensation/Benefits: We are offering a 50K recruitment incentive (sign on bonus), competitive compensation package and opportunities for additional shifts on a month to month basis. Our physicians have no out of pocket expense for medical/dental/vision coverage and enjoy an $18,000 medical reimbursement account annually. We also contribute the maximum amount allowed to the 401K plan ($70,000 in 2025). We offer 13 weeks of vacation for our standard track positions and we are continually striving to improve the work/life balance for our physicians.
Why is our practice unique? We strive to offer the best of both worlds- private practice flexibility and compensation with academic options. In affiliation with Michigan State University College of Medicine, our radiologists have opportunities to teach and mentor residents and pursue research if desired. Due to the size and breadth of the healthcare systems we support, diagnostic volume and variety of clinical exposure is unrivaled. We find that entrepreneurial minded physicians who value involvement in decision making and developing our business strategy fit well. Participation in section, committee and board meetings is not required but welcomed from day one.
