POSITION INFO:

This position is responsible for providing strong leadership for the plant operations to optimize performance for the NIBCO supply chain in terms of safety, service, quality, and cost. Provide effective direction for production activities while driving continuous improvement in all phases of the operation.  
 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Strive for safety excellence by promoting a culture in which safety and health are fully integrated into the business. Make it clear to everyone that safety is a core value of the organization through strong, visible, and engaged leadership. 

    Champion a continuous improvement culture ensuring everyone's engagement, commitment, and trust.

    Develop systems and processes to track and optimize productivity and standards to meet established metrics and performance targets. 

    Allocate resources effectively and fully utilize assets to produce optimal results. 

    Develop and lead plant associates to ensure location meets goals of company.

    Coordinate with Product Development, Sales, Marketing, and Distribution to ensure customer requirements and expectations are met. 

    Lead Lean Enterprise transformation, maintaining strong base of existing knowledge and of developing technologies. Initiate process management techniques.

EXPERIENCE:

 Prefer candidates with prior plant manager / leadership experience. Experience in plastic injection molding highly desirable. Lean manufacturing experience a plus.
 

EDUCATION:

Basic (Required) Qualifications: 

   Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.

   Experience with Servant Leadership style of leadership.

   Minimum 10 years' experience in a manufacturing environment.

   Minimum 5 years of manager of people experience.

   Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship on a continual and on-going basis.

Preferred Qualifications    

   Previous plant management experience.

   Previous experience in plastic injection molding

TRAINING AND SKILLS:

Demonstrated ability in leadership is required.  Prefer 5+ years' experience in Manufacturing or Supply Chain Management, including line operation responsibilities. 
 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS / ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS:

Prolonged periods of standing and walking through the factory.
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk working on computers.
Must be able to lift 25 pounds at times.
Visual acuity to inspect products and machinery.
