Richland School District #44 Public Job Description

Position Title:    Route Bus Driver
Department:      Transportation
Reports To:       Superintendent

Richland #44 School District is a Class B school district of about 300 students with two school buildings (PK-6 in Abercrombie and 7-12 in Colfax). We are idyllically located about halfway between Fargo and Wahpeton, giving families and staff the best of both worlds with a small-town feel close to larger areas. Our mission is Educating students to be responsible citizens and leaders and we believe in a safe and supportive environment that fosters relationships and high expectations for all students.
WAGE:  $20,520/year based on 171 days   ($120/day)    PLUS  daily mileage based on route ($0.10/mile)
 *Driving to extra-curricular activities is available if the driver is interested ($18/hour)
BENEFITS: NDPERS Retirement Plan; Sick Leave
Hours of employment - SCHOOL DAYS
Morning Route - 6:45am-8:15am (roughly)
Evening Route - 3:00pm-4:45pm (roughly)
Duties: Drive school children to and from school on a daily basis in the morning and afternoon.  The sole responsibility of a bus driver is the safety of the children.  The driver must follow all traffic laws.
REQUIRED:  Class B License with school bus endorsement.  *School District will pay for the cost to get bus license (including training and fees)
Background check and finger printing will be conducted before hiring
Drivers must complete a physical every two years
Individual must undergo random drug/alcohol testing
