POSITION DETAILS:

Located in the San Jose headquarters, you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, verify and optimize 3A firmware algorithms on GEO's high-performance ICs
  • Architect and implement real-time control firmware for ISP pipeline blocks including image enhancement, noise reduction, high dynamic range and other image processing tasks
  • Support integration of image sensor configurations into GEO's embedded real-time environment
  • Support GEO's Image Quality and Application Engineering teams to realize customer productization of GEO ISPs in human and machine vision automotive applications
  • Continually improve GEO's embedded software while supporting lab validation environments for competitive benchmarking and Image Quality (IQ) enhancements
  • Write training materials and documentation for applications engineers and customers

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • BS, MS or PhD degree in imaging science, EE, CS, physics or equivalent years of on-the-job experience
  • Strong programming skills in C/C++ (must-have) and MATLAB/Python (good-to-have)
  • Prior professional hands-on experience successfully implementing embedded firmware solutions with real-time constraints in the field of image processing.
  • Expertise in ISP imaging pipelines, HDR architectures, color science and image quality metrics
  • Data driven mindset, scientific methodology and hands-on experimental abilities
