The Metrology Engineer - Mass Spectrometry and HPLC is responsible for providing installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair services for Mass Spectrometry and HPLC instrumentation to ensure reliable operation, data integrity, and compliance in a regulated laboratory or manufacturing environment.

This position reports to the Metrology Manager and is part of the Manufacturing Science and Technology function located in Torrance and will be an on-site role.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Perform installation, qualification support, preventive maintenance, calibration, and repair of Mass Spectrometry (LCMS, GCMS, QTOF, triple quad) and HPLC/UPLC systems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, software, and analytical performance issues to minimize instrument downtime.
• Serve as a technical subject matter expert (SME) for assigned analytical instrumentation.

The essential requirements of the job include:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Analytical Sciences, or a related technical field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
• Minimum 3+ of handson experience servicing Mass Spectrometry and HPLC systems in a regulated laboratory environment (pharma, biotech, diagnostics, or CRO).
• Strong working knowledge of LCMS/MS, HPLC/UPLC principles, fluidics, vacuum systems, detectors, and associated software.
• Demonstrated experience working in GMP and/or GLP regulated environments.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Automation of processes geared toward more efficient analyses
• The use of CMMS systems to aid in equipment maintenance, documentation and record keeping

The salary range for this role is $100,000 - $115,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
