Job Summary

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:   

Supervises the daily production and distribution of all pastries, desserts and baked goods. 

Ensures recipes and standards are followed, food costs are controlled, and appropriate quantity is prepared based on established production needs.   

Ensures proper food handling, presentation, portion control and maintenance of proper serving temperatures.    

Orders and maintains pastry supplies and products to ensure appropriate inventory levels.  

Regularly obtains feedback from clients and guests to improve operations   

Practices proper product control and handling of all inventory and equipment   

Ensures that all security, safety, and sanitation standards are achieved   

Provides operational planning to ensure adequate products and equipment are ordered for anticipated business levels   

Interviews, hires, trains, and develops team members according to Levy guidelines.

Promotes a cooperative work climate, maximizing productivity and morale   

Uses all performance management tools to provide guidance, feedback, and corrective action to team members   

Develops and implements, menus, recipes, and standard operating procedures unique to the bakery and its requisitions.    

Works with partners, customers, and Executive Chef to find solutions and opportunities to grow the department.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Mastry of wide variety of baking experience & management of teams

Must be experienced with computers including Microsoft Products

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
