Respiratory Therapist Opportunity

We're hiring an experienced Respiratory Therapist for a local healthcare provider where you'll be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the treatment, care, and needs of patients with breathing disorders.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Associate or bachelor's degree from a Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science program.
  • Current state Respiratory Therapist license in good standing with the State License Board.
  • Minimum of 6 months current acute care hospital RRT experience.
  • BLS, ACLS, NRP, and PALS certification required. CRT or NBRC credential required.
  • Experience with Meditech electronic medical record preferred.
  • Experience with Hamilton G5 ventilators preferred.
  • Experience in ED, ICU, NICU, or pediatrics is preferred.
Assignment Details
  • Facility Type: Hospital.
  • Unit: Respiratory Therapy supporting ED, ICU, NICU, Med/Surg, and Pediatrics.
  • Shift Name: Nights.
  • Shift Details: Nights 1800-0600.
  • Typical patient volume: 30-40 acuity points average per shift.
  • Typical staffing: 15 RTs on staff; night shift minimum staffing of 3 RTs.
  • Equipment in use: Hamilton G5 ventilators.
  • EMR: Meditech.
  • Must be able to perform ventilator set up, assist with intubation, obtain ABGs, administer all RT therapies, and provide patient and staff education.
  • Role requires autonomy, collaborative teamwork, and flexibility in scheduling. Candidates may be expected to float within the hospital system as needed.
