Job description

Meridian Blue Construction, LLC is seeking an experienced Civil Foreman with proven attention to detail who takes pride in their workmanship. The Civil Foreman is responsible for effectively leading a wireless telecom construction team through all stages of civil construction of raw land or existing cell sites. The Civil Foreman is responsible for reading a set of plans and having the ability to build a BOM based on those plans with forethought of potential issues that may occur during the build-out process.
The applicant will have the knowledge, skills and ability to successfully layout a site and install tower foundations, ability to tie and place rebar cages per specifications, install equipment shelter foundations with footings or raised piers, generator slabs, finish exposed concrete and tower road constructions (to include finished grade, fabric, and culverts).
Compensation
  • Pay is $27-34/hr. Is negotiable and based on experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership to identify key success factors for civil crews.
  • Safely operate heavy equipment, including skid loaders, excavators., etc.
  • Direct activities of crew and assist for electrical, civil and structural construction.
  • Read and redline engineering drawings.
  • Install Radio EQ, power plants and batteries. (indoor/outdoor sites)
  • General telecommunications civil construction experience.
  • Ability to work on and around electrical components (including but not limited to) wiring DC circuit, conduit installations, cabling, grounding and various connectors.
  • Perform form setting and set layout.
  • Ability to work independently under limited supervision while supervising 2-3 co-workers.
  • Good organizational skills and ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written.
  • Responsible for a company provided vehicle, trailer, tools, equipment, and supplies.
  • Must comply with and enforce company and industry safety standards at all times.
  • Proven ability to operate excavation equipment.
  • Ability to complete daily reports, JSAs, timesheets and other administrative duties

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to climb a ladder
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs
  • Ability to bend, lift, twist, squat, kneel and sit for extended periods of time
  • Ability to reach, climb, and/or grasp ladders or other tall structures
  • Operation of truck/heavy machinery
  • ability to distinguish basic colors, operation of power/hand tools, read documents & maps (in English)
  • Ability to perform a variety of labor-intensive tasks, operate power, and hand tools
  • Ability to work outdoors in ALL weather conditions; this includes extreme temperatures (cold & heat)

Qualifications
  • 5-7 years of wireless telecom civil division field supervision
  • CDL Class A Driver's License
  • Experience working on and around electrical components
  • Understanding of wireless telecom construction. (Rooftop and Ground sites)

  • Ability to travel is required
  • Ability to pass a background check, DOT physical, and abide by Company Drug Testing Policy
  • Ability to pass and maintain CPR/First Aid AED, OSHA 30, RF Radiation Safety Awareness, Competent Climber Certifications
  • Minnesota/Wisconsin resident or willing to relocate within 30 days of hire.
