What are fish vaccines and how do they work?

Fish vaccines are biological preparations designed to protect fish against specific infectious diseases, typically caused by bacteria or viruses. They work by stimulating the fish's immune system to recognize and fight off these pathogens if the fish is exposed in the future. Vaccination is a key tool in aquaculture, helping reduce disease outbreaks, minimize the use of antibiotics, and ensure healthier fish stocks. Different types of vaccines can be administered via injection, immersion, or orally, depending on the species and production system.
