Job description

Position: Texas Sales Manager

Reports to: Director of Sales

SUMMARY: The First Tactical Texas Sales Manager is responsible for driving domestic sales growth, achieving sales objectives, and developing the Texas territory. This role will focus on building strong relationships with dealers, agencies, and end users while increasing brand visibility and product adoption throughout the state. This position requires a highly motivated sales professional who is comfortable traveling within the territory, conducting product presentations, supporting dealer partners, and identifying new business opportunities.

Responsibilities:

· Drive sales growth and achieve assigned sales objectives within the Texas territory.

· Develop and execute a territory sales plan to increase market share and brand presence.

· Build and maintain strong relationships with dealers, agencies, and end users.

· Support dealer partners with product knowledge, merchandising, sales tools, and customer opportunities.

· Conduct product presentations, demonstrations, and training for dealers and end users.

· Identify new business opportunities and follow up on leads within the assigned territory.

· Attend trade shows, agency visits, and industry events as needed.

· Maintain regular communication with internal teams regarding customer needs, market trends, and sales opportunities.

· Provide timely reporting on territory activity, pipeline, and sales progress.

· Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will also be considered.

· Minimum of 5 years of proven sales experience, preferably in public safety, tactical apparel, uniforms, equipment, or a related industry.

· Experience working with dealers, distributors, agencies, government/public safety customers, or end users preferred.

· Ability to develop and execute sales strategies to meet or exceed assigned sales objectives.

· Strong relationship-building, communication, and interpersonal skills.

· Excellent problem-solving skills with a customer-focused mindset.

· Strong presentation, product demonstration, and training skills.

· Knowledge of CRM software and sales analytics tools preferred.

· Ability to work independently and manage a large territory.

· Self-motivated, organized, and goal driven.

· Comfortable with frequent travel throughout Texas as required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK CONDITIONS:

· Primarily remote, working from a home office or other designated workspace.

· Requires the flexibility to travel frequently to client sites, stores, and other locations for sales activities, displays, and deliveries.

· Must be able to travel long distances by car, plane, or other modes of transportation as needed.

· Frequent movement between various locations, including setting up displays, visiting stores, and meeting clients.

· Requires prolonged periods of sitting at a desk in a home office.

· Extended use of a computer for administrative tasks, communication, and reporting, which requires hand-eye coordination, keyboard use, and focus.

· Frequent verbal communication via phone, video calls, or in-person meetings with clients, vendors, or team members.

· Requires clear and effective communication skills to relay information accurately and persuasively.
