Job description

Job Summary: We are seeking a friendly, motivated, and professional Sales Assistant to support and report to our Sales Counselor. This role is part-time and on-call, with availability being critical to the success of this position. As the main point of contact for coverage, the Sales Assistant may be contacted on short notice and must be prepared to adjust their schedule as needed. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to break into the new home sales industry!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary on-call resource to provide coverage for the Sales Counselor as needed, sometimes with short notice.
  • Support the Sales Counselor in daily operations, ensuring a seamless homebuying experience for clients.
  • Conduct tours of model homes, highlighting features and benefits while providing a warm and engaging experience for visitors.
  • Greet and welcome visitors to the sales office and model homes, providing a positive and professional first impression.
  • Ensure model homes are clean, well-stocked with supplies and refreshments, and lights are on during business hours. Order supplies and refreshments as needed.
  • Maintain marketing materials and brochures in the sales office.
  • Ensure community areas, signage, and directional signs are clean, properly placed, and visible at all times.
  • Gather and record visitor information accurately for follow-up and lead tracking purposes.
  • Provide administrative support, including answering phones, scheduling appointments, and updating customer records.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Availability and flexibility to work part-time, starting at two days per week and including on-call shifts, sometimes with short notice.
  • Detail-oriented and organized with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and comfortable learning new software.

Preferred Experience:

  • Prior experience in new home sales, real estate, or customer service is a plus, but not required. Training will be provided to those new to the industry.

Work Environment: This position primarily operates in a sales office, model home, and community setting. Availability to work weekends and respond to on-call requests is essential. Must be able to climb stairs and left up to 20lbs.
