Job description

HALCON Furniture, located in Stewartville, MN, manufactures award-winning, modern office furniture of the highest quality. To meet increased demand for our innovative products, we are currently seeking a Wood Finishing Touch-Up Specialist to join our growing company. The ideal candidate will embrace the opportunity to contribute to the Finishing Department and bring a positive attitude and strong organizational skills to a dedicated, fast-paced team.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform custom touch-ups on fine wood surfaces and cabinetry.
  • Repair scratches, dents, nicks, and other surface imperfections using appropriate techniques (e.g., blending, color matching, etc.).
  • Collaborate with department managers to ensure seamless finish consistency.
  • Ensure all work meets the highest standards of craftsmanship and quality.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Use power tools and machinery when needed.

Qualifications:
  • Prior experience in finish carpentry, furniture repair, or millwork touch-up.
  • Keen eye for detail and commitment to excellence.
  • Skilled in blending, color matching, and creating custom colors.
  • Self-motivated to meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Able to receive and follow instructions and communicate with co-workers.
