Job description

The Learning Multimedia Specialist is responsible for creating, producing, and managing multimedia assets that support training programs, eLearning courses, presentations, and digital learning experiences. This role focuses on visual design, video production, media editing, template creation, and digital asset management to help make learning content clear, engaging, and visually consistent.

This position partners closely with instructional designers, subject matter experts, facilitators, and other internal stakeholders to create high-quality video, graphics, templates, and interactive media components. The role may also support reusable digital templates and assets, including basic HTML/CSS customization when needed.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Design and produce multimedia content for training programs and digital learning materials, including:

o Training videos

o eLearning graphics and animations

o Visual elements for online courses

o Job aids and digital learning assets

o Presentation visuals and supporting graphics

• Support video production efforts, including:

o Filming

o Editing

o Post-production

o Audio cleanup

o Captioning or formatting for distribution

o Creating polished recordings from live training sessions

• Create and maintain branded templates for:

o eLearning courses using tools such as Articulate Storyline, Rise, Xyleme, or similar platforms

o Presentation decks

o Digital learning assets

o HTML-based templates, when applicable

• Collaborate with instructional designers, subject matter experts, and facilitators to convert approved content into visually engaging multimedia and digital assets.

• Support the development and enhancement of online learning materials by:

• Editing or customizing basic HTML/CSS templates

• Embedding multimedia into LMS platforms or authoring tools

• Formatting digital assets for usability, consistency, and accessibility

• Manage and organize a centralized media library by:

o Tagging and categorizing assets

o Ensuring assets are easy to locate and reuse

o Maintaining version control

o Promoting consistency across learning and training materials

• Ensure multimedia content aligns with NCM Associates’ brand standards, quality expectations, strategic initiatives, and marketing campaigns.

• Stay current with multimedia software, production tools, and digital media trends to support efficient and effective content creation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Multimedia Design, Graphic Design, Film Production, Digital Media, Communications, or a related field preferred.

• Advanced working knowledge of videography, photography, lighting, audio, editing software, and related production techniques.

• Proficiency with tools such as:

o Adobe Creative Suite, including Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator

o Camtasia, Articulate Storyline, Rise, Xyleme, or similar content development tools

o Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint

• Working knowledge of the following preferred:

o Basic HTML/CSS for template customization

o Learning Management Systems

o Experience with Content Management Systems, preferably Xyleme

o Digital asset management practices

• Strong visual design, layout, editing, and production skills.

• Ability to manage multiple requests, prioritize work, and meet deadlines.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain brand consistency across multimedia assets.

• Ability to travel as needed.
