Registered Dietitian - Bariatric - Join Our Healthcare Team!
Status: Full Time | Shift: 8:00am - 4:30pm | Weekend Work: Occasional
Location: Winter Haven Hospital, [Winter Haven, FL]
Are you a passionate and dedicated Registered Dietitian looking to make a meaningful impact in patient care? BayCare, a leading healthcare provider in Central Florida region is seeking a Registered Dietitian to join our multidisciplinary team. Qualified candidates may be eligible for a competitive sign-on bonus.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for providing optimal medical nutrition therapy to patients preparing for or post bariatric surgery through one-on-one sessions and group classes.
  • Facilitates and coordinates bariatric patient support groups and serves as a social media moderator for the BayCare Bariatric Facebook Group.
  • Assists center in maintaining compliance with national and insurance specific bariatric quality designations.
  • Performs bariatric in-services to team members and physicians.
  • Represents bariatric program in media requests and community outreach efforts.
  • Assist in securing patient testimonials.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with patients and bariatric multi-disciplinary team including nurses, psychologists, pharmacists, surgeons, admin staff, and facility bariatric patient care areas.
  • Position may require travel to other sites as needed.
  • Participates in patient education/clinical projects and MBS Committee meetings.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Required: Bachelors - Food & Nutrition / Related Field
  • Preferred: Masters - Food & Nutrition / Related Field (Effective January 1, 2024, a graduate degree is required for those not initially credentialed by 12/31/23)
  • Required: Registered Dietitian through CDR and licensure through the State of Florida, or attainment of state licensure within 6 months of employment.
  • Preferred: Board Certified Specialist via CDR or other professional group
