Job Description
  • Seeking a dedicated Ophthalmologist to join our team as the sole Ophthalmologist at our facility. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to our patients in a rural community, and will be responsible for diagnosing, treating, and managing disorders and diseases of the eyes.
  • Kane is nestled in the heart of the Allegheny National Forest with proximity to Twin Lakes and the Allegheny Reservoir. Because we are at nature's doorstep, we have access to some of the best outdoor recreation found in the United States. Whether you prefer hiking and biking to hunting, fishing, cross country skiing and motorized sports, we guarantee there is an activity that you will love.
  • As the sole Ophthalmologis you will have the autonomy to build and shape the service line, supported by a team of experienced healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive eye exams to diagnose and treat eye diseases, injuries, and disorders.
  • Prescribe medications, corrective lenses, and other treatments to manage eye conditions.
  • Perform surgical procedures, including cataract removal and glaucoma treatments.
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans for patients.
  • Monitor patient progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans.
Qualifications:
  • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of an Ophthalmology residency program.
  • Board certification or eligibility in Ophthalmology.
  • Valid state medical license.
  • Experience in performing ophthalmic surgeries.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong commitment to patient care and safety.
