Job description

Newport, an Ascensus company, helps employers offer their associates a more secure financial future through retirement plans, insurance and consulting services. Newport offers comprehensive plan solutions and consulting expertise to plan sponsors and the advisors who serve them. As a provider and partner, Newport is independent, experienced, and responsive.
Job Summary: Assists the consulting team with the management of case work and work flow of assigned cases. This role has a direct impact on the successful acquisition of new clients and the ongoing servicing of current clients.
Target location: Lake Mary, FL & surrounding areas

  • Serves as the Newport liaison between Newport internal technical staff, Newport Regional Directors ("RDs") and our intermediary distribution partners in the development of new clients.
  • Provides sales support for the NQ consulting team
  • Compiles plan 'diagnostic' evaluations for prospective clients to include plan design evaluation ("Best Practices"), optimization and recommendations regarding participant investment 'menu' options, trustee search and selection, etc.
  • Fosters strong relationships Newport Relationship Managers ("RMs").
  • Participates in special projects that enhance Newport's productivity/efficiency and suite of services that would benefit from your diverse background in technology, systems, accounting, etc.
  • Completes necessary compliance documentation related to placements of securities
  • Maintains prospect and client databases
  • Conducts presentations to individuals and large groups.
  • Self-starter working in a fast-paced, demanding environment under tight deadlines
  • Focuses on learning in everyday activities and events
  • Applies advanced mathematical concepts utilizing current spreadsheet and accounting database software programs
  • Collaborates with and openly shares knowledge with colleagues
  • Regular, reliable and punctual attendance

  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university
  • 3 to 5 years of retirement services industry experience with direct accountability for client deliverables, retention and satisfaction in a client services delivery/client facing environment
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to conduct presentations to individuals and large groups.
