General Description
Under occasional supervision, aims to carry out the aims and objectives of the ESports program as outlined by the head coach. The ESport Coach reports to the head coach and Principal.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
Essential Functions
Monitor the grades and discipline records of all students involved in e-sports to make sure they are eligible to participate.
Maintain records of parent permission slips, student code of conduct agreements, and other e-sports related paperwork.ย 
To instruct individuals on ESport individual and team fundamentals, strategy and training necessary for them to realize a degree of individual and team success.
All coaches in Richland County School District One are to be on a coaching agreement.
Part-time agreements are to be secured for coaches who work at schools other than where they coach or for coaches who are not otherwise employed by the school district.
Volunteer coaches must be approved through the School District volunteer process.
ESport team assigned to him/her assumes supervising control over all individuals in program when such control is needed.
Essential functions for High School Head Coach ESports
Teach and develop the fundamental skills necessary for excellent achievement in his/her
area of coaching responsibility.
Must be 21 years of age.
Plan and schedule a regular program of practice in season.
Schedule, with the approval of the Esports Director, inter-scholastic contests.
Enforce discipline and sportsmanlike behaviors at all times and with the Esports director
establish penalties for breach of such standards by individual students.
Ensure that assigned office space is kept clean and orderly.
Select or supervise the selection of participants to receive awards and/or letters in
accordance with criteria approved by the Esports director.
Supervise the care, maintenance and storage of all equipment/supplies throughout the
Esports season and forward an inventory to the Esports director or designee annually.
Assist in selection and evaluation of assistant coaches and make
recommendations to the Principal for assistant coaches.
Handle postponement of practice sessions.
Develop a positive public relations program in the school and the community.
Make recommendations to the Esports director for purchasing all equipment.
Provide supervision in all Esports areas.
Assume responsibility for turning out all lights and locking all doors before leaving the
Esports area (turning on security where applicable).

Physical Requirements:
Tasks involve the ability to exert very moderate physical effort in light work, typically involving some combination of remaining standing for extended periods of time, writing on a chalkboard, stooping, kneeling and crouching, and some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of moderate weight (12 to 20 pounds).ย
