Job Title: Mechanical Engineer Intern (Summer)
Job Summary: MOR PPM, Inc., seeks a Mechanical Engineering Intern to support the Project Management team in a variety of assignments. The Engineer Intern will assist the Project Management Team in meeting the Company's objectives and goals, which includes ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within a budget and per contract specifications.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assist with the execution and management of special projects.
  • Prepare and present computer-generated spreadsheets and reports.
  • Comply with all company operating policies, procedures and safety programs as established.
  • Other duties may be assigned as specific project dictates.

Experience/Education:
  • Must be pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

Qualifications & Skills:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Interpersonal skills such as oral, verbal and written communication and reasoning is required
  • Must be enrolled in a Engineering program from a University or Technical School.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to overcome obstacles in the field.

Physical Requirements/Job Site Requirements:
  • Must complete hiring paperwork electronically via DocuSign
  • May be required to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Must posses enough strength and stamina to perform the technical duties and essential functions as identified above
  • Must be able to move in and around confided spaces and uneven areas
  • Must have full range of motion consistent with age
  • Must be able to climb and maintain balance ladders
  • Must be able to adequately hear and respond to voice commands and alerts from other employees, alarms and other job-related noises
  • Visual acuity, depth perception and color discrimination consistent with that required to work at heights and on uneven surfaces
  • Safety/Steel toe shoes are required.
