Position Overview:
TEAM is seeking experienced and certified API Inspectors to perform mechanical integrity inspections across various asset types, including pressure vessels, piping systems, and aboveground storage tanks. The ideal candidate will hold active API certifications in at least one of the following (e.g., API 510, 570, 653) and be responsible for evaluating in-service and out-of-service equipment conditions, interpreting code requirements, generating reports consistent with Team standards, and ensuring compliance with client specifications and regulatory standards. This is primarily a field-based position requiring a high degree of professionalism, attention to detail, and strong technical judgment in industrial settings.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Perform internal, external, and on-stream inspections in accordance with applicable codes (API, ASME, NBIC, etc.) and client inspection programs.
• Prepare and review isometric drawings, repair plans, inspection reports, and data sheets.
• Recommend and track inspection intervals, corrosion monitoring points, and follow-up actions based on condition assessments.
• Identify mechanical and structural deficiencies and provide repair recommendations or fitness-for-service evaluations when applicable.
• Interface with client representatives, engineers, and maintenance personnel to ensure inspection scope, timelines, and deliverables are met.
• Utilize digital tools and data management systems to track asset health and inspection histories.
• Coordinate with NDT technicians and support personnel as part of a multi-disciplinary inspection team.
• Adhere to TEAM's Life Critical Expectations and all site-specific safety protocols.
• Uphold industry codes and TEAM's standards of professionalism, integrity, and quality.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Multiple Conventional NDT Level II/III certifications or ASNT/PCN/CGSB equivalencies.
• Multiple API certifications (510/570/653) or additional credentials such as: AWS CWI, AMPP, NBIC.
• Familiarity with RBI (Risk-Based Inspection), IDMS platforms, and digital inspection tools.
• Prior experience supporting turnaround inspections, capital projects, or long-term mechanical integrity programs.
• Current TWIC, OSHA 10/30, or other industry-standard safety certifications.
Required Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent (Technical Degree or Military Experience a Plus)
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable motor vehicle driving record.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screening background check.
• Must be able to obtain TWIC, DISA, and/or other site access credentials.
• Active certification in at least one of the following: API 510, 570, 653
• Solid understanding of damage mechanisms, welding, pressure boundaries, and inspection intervals per jurisdictional and client requirements.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to generate accurate reports and interface with multi-level stakeholders.
• Ability to travel, work extended hours, and operate in field environments including confined spaces, elevated work areas, and extreme weather.
• Strong work ethic with a safety-first mindset.
Physical and Mental Requirements:
• Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds.
• Sufficient personal mobility to maneuver in a standard, refinery or plant environment to include the ability to access elevated platforms via ladders and stairwells except when performing non-field duties.
• Sufficient clarity of speech and hearing or other communication capabilities, with or without reasonable accommodation, which permits employees to communicate effectively.
• Sufficient vision or other powers of observation, with or without reasonable accommodation, which permits employees to investigations.
• Sufficient manual dexterity with or without reasonable accommodation, which permits the employee to perform routine office duties.
• Sufficient personal mobility and physical reflexes, with or without reasonable accommodations to perform office duties and travel when necessary to off-site locations.
• Ability to maintain focus and multitask with effective communication skills.
Work Conditions
• Position is based out of a TEAM field office or client site location.
• Field duties require indoor and outdoor work in a plant atmosphere.
• Interaction with other crew employees, as well as supervisors and client personnel.
• Working in plant and/or shop areas around production machinery with extreme noise levels.
• Able to wear safety equipment for any task and as required by the safety department for personal protection.
• May be at more than one job site in a day and must be able to tolerate climate changes.
• May be required to travel out of town on a periodic basis.
• Willingness and ability to work extended shifts, weekends, and alternative work schedules as required.
• Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in various environmental conditions.
