Job Description

DroneShield is seeking a Systems Engineer with relevant experience to join the team in Warrenton, Virginia. The position will report to the Vice President of Sales. It represents an exceptional opportunity for a result-driven individual to perform a critical role in a fast growing market. This role includes sales demonstrations and technical problem solving, focused on customization, delivery and support to the end customer.

Responsibilities, Duties and Expectations

  • Collaborate with the sales team providing support in customer technical engagement, reviewing system architectures and quotations for technical accuracy.
  • Serve as a primary customer interface for accounts from ordering through to installation, maintenance, and ongoing support.
  • Support new product development projects by serving as an interface between the client and engineering teams.
  • Engage with customers on technical feedback, feeding back to the engineering team and working with them on meeting customer expectations.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and subject matter experts from a variety of backgrounds.
  • Serve as the bridge between end customer or user and the engineering team to ensure that customer requirements are understood and met.
  • Develop and maintain documentation of DroneShield systems to ensure continual operation and system improvements over time.
  • Conduct engineering investigation and analysis to resolve technical issues with limited support .
  • Establish and maintain close relationships with internal and external stakeholders and customers.

  • Develop strong, reliable channels of communication with end customers from a range of technical and cultural backgrounds.

Qualifications
  • Demonstrates excellence within a Defense or high-engineering environment.
  • Previous experience working in the Defense, Aerospace, or Public Safety industries is highly favorable.
  • Experience in a Systems/ Sales/ Solutions Engineering role, providing technical support directly to customers and managing projects with engineering teams.
  • Knowledge in a range of engineering fields.
  • Experience in testing of complex systems.
  • Experience in integration of multi-disciplinary engineering projects.
  • Experience with networked devices, telecommunications, radio frequency, electronic warfare and/or machine learning/ artificial intelligence systems is highly regarded.
  • BS degree in relevant Engineering discipline (Communications, Computer, Electronics, Mechanical or equivalent), similar technical field of study or equivalent practical experience.
  • Qualification or experience in Sales/ Marketing or customer support is highly regarded.
  • Experience in Linux environment with networked devices is highly regarded.
  • Coding experience is highly regarded (Python, Ruby, Go, C++ and/ or Javascript ideal).
