Job description

Metric Engineering is looking for an Entry-Level Transportation Engineer-in-Training (EIT) to join our Colorado Springs office! Metric Engineering’s transportation team supports public agencies with a wide range of transportation engineering services including complex and engaging projects from early master planning, interchange concepts development, and deployment of smart work zones. As an entry-level engineer, you will support our transportation engineering team with traffic and safety analyses, field visits, ArcGIS map development, and study/report preparation, and more.
This is an entry-level Engineer-in-Training (EIT) position. You will perform a variety of routine engineering assignments that build knowledge and experience with a strong focus on professional development and career growth. You will assist in developing transportation engineering solutions that require analytical and critical thinking to deliver high-quality short- and long-term outcomes.
What you should bring:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or graduating this semester)
  • Engineer Intern (EI) certificate, or ability to obtain within 6 months
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including technical writing
  • Ability to collaborate and work effectively as part of a project team
  • Sense of ownership and accountability for assigned work
  • Solid interpersonal, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Working knowledge of ArcGIS, Highway Capacity Manual (HCM) tools/applications, and Microsoft Office
Colorado Pay Range $65,000 – $82,000*
*Actual compensation will vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, geographic location, skills, and education.
