Job description

Become a vital part of a hospital team in Albany, NY as a Computed Tomography Technologist. You will perform CT procedures, assist in clinical evaluation and care of patients in a fast-paced Level I trauma and academic medical center, and support teaching and learning as technology evolves. Responsibilities include operating CT equipment, administering contrast as directed, performing trauma, emergency, inpatient, outpatient, research, and CT-guided procedures, and enforcing radiation safety measures consistent with New York State Department of Health code part 16.
Minimum Qualifications

  • Graduate of an approved two-year AMA Radiologic Technology program or equivalent (high school +1).
  • New York State Registration in Diagnostic Radiography or possess a limited permit to practice in New York.
  • ARRT registration (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists).
  • Current BLS for Healthcare Provider, CPR, or CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer certification.
  • Ability to perform CT exams for trauma, emergency, inpatient, outpatient, research, and CT-guided procedures.
  • Familiarity with radiation safety practices per New York State Department of Health code part 16.
  • Entry level considered; MIT level assigned based on skill set and experience.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience in a Level I trauma center or academic medical center preferred.
  • Experience with CT-guided interventional procedures preferred.

Assignment Details
  • Mid shift, 10:30 to 23:00.
