Systems Administrator (Digital & IT Operations)

Company: Container Graphics Corporation (CGC)

Reports to: IT Director

Location: In-Person Cary, NC or White Bear Lake, MN

Position Summary

For over 65 years, CGC has been a leader in tooling solutions that help boxes and brands get to market faster. To support our mission of "delivering it right the first time," we are seeking a versatile Systems Administrator. This role sits at the intersection of our IT Infrastructure and Digital Software teams. You will be responsible for ensuring our systems remain stable, secure, and optimized while providing "first-look" triage for our ERP and cloud environments.

This is an ideal role for an IT professional with 2โ€“3 years of experience who is ready to level up their skills in Cloud Administration (GCP), ERP management (Acumatica), and Cybersecurity.

Key Responsibilities
  • System Stability & Support (80%):

    • Monitor and manage endpoint health using NinjaOne RMM.

    • Act as the primary Level 1 support for Acumatica ERP, handling user permissions and basic troubleshooting.

    • Ensure network integrity by monitoring Fortinet firewalls and responding to security alerts in SentinelOne.

    • Maintain and optimize Google Cloud Platform (GCP) resources and Linux/Windows environments.

    • Perform regular hardware/software maintenance, upgrades, and patch management.

  • Strategic Projects (20%):

    • Collaborate with the Digital team on software deployments and integrations.

    • Assist the IT Director in executing corporate-wide technology initiatives and infrastructure upgrades.

  • Triage & Communication:

    • Diagnose complex technical issues and recommend long-term fixes.

    • Maintain a professional, helpful demeanor when assisting staff under stressful technical circumstances.

Qualifications & Skills
  • Experience: 2โ€“5 years in Information Technology (we are willing to train the right candidate on our specific software stack).

  • Technical Foundation:

    • Solid understanding of MS Windows, Linux, and VMWare.

    • Familiarity with networking fundamentals (DHCP, DNS, Firewalls).

  • The "Plus" List (Experience here is a major advantage):

    • Exposure to Acumatica or similar ERP systems.

    • Basic knowledge of Google Cloud (GCP) or AWS.

    • Experience with RMM tools (NinjaOne) or EDR platforms (SentinelOne).

  • Soft Skills: Outstanding diagnostic skills, a self-directed work ethic, and strong verbal/written communication.

Company Benefits
  • Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance

  • Short Term Disability & Long Term Disability

  • 401(k) Retirement Plan

  • Flexible Spending Account (FSA)

  • Company-paid Life Insurance & Employee-paid Life Insurance

  • Paid Time Off (PTO)

Requirements for Consideration
  • An Associateโ€™s degree or higher is preferred; however, equivalent professional work experience or industry certifications will be considered in lieu of a degree.

  • Must pass a drug screen and criminal background report.
