Job description

Position Summary

The Digital Marketing Specialist provides essential support for GSOFCT’s digital outreach and internal coordination. This role is perfect for a process-oriented professional who enjoys maintaining digital platforms and ensuring our members receive timely, relevant communications. You will help manage our "marketing engine", specifically Salesforce and monday.com, to keep our data organized and our projects on track.

Core ResponsibilitiesFull-Funnel Communications & Salesforce Support
  • Assist with the daily execution of email and SMS communications through Salesforce, ensuring a smooth experience for everyone from new leads to long-term members.
  • Support member retention efforts by scheduling regular updates, newsletters, and "thank you" touchpoints.
  • Help maintain a clean database by performing basic data entry and ensuring member contact preferences are up to date.
  • Pull basic engagement reports to help the team understand which messages are resonating with our community.

Team Coordination & monday.com Maintenance

  • Serve as a helpful resource for monday.com, making sure project boards are updated deadlines are clearly marked.
  • Help the Director of Marketing keep track of moving parts across various campaigns to ensure nothing falls through the cracks.
  • Assist in documenting simple workflows to help the marketing team work more efficiently.


Digital Content & Maintenance

  • Make light updates to the website (adding events or news) and schedule social media posts across primary channels.
  • Monitor basic analytics for the marketing campaigns
  • Provide administrative support for digital ad campaigns and other brand visibility projects as needed.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in marketing/communications and/or education in sales preferred, or r equivalent experience.
  • 0–2 years of experience (relevant internships or entry-level roles).
  • Ability to work with a diverse group of staff, volunteers, and girls.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication, proofreading, editing skills.
  • Organization and time management skills.
  • Flexibility and willingness to learn (growth mindset) is highly desired.
Technical Skills
  • Basic knowledge of Salesforce. or Salesforce Marketing Cloud; advanced knowledge preferred.
  • Experience using monday.com (or similar tools like Asana/Trello) for task organization.
  • Ability to demonstrate proficiency in MS Office Suite, Adobe Create Suite, and other web and social media platforms.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and standard office software.
  • strong analytical skills.
Additional Demands and Job Requirements
  • Statewide travel required.
  • Valid Connecticut driver’s license.
  • Must carry and show proof of liability coverage of personal vehicle.
  • Ability to accommodate a flexible work schedule (evenings, weekends) to meet the needs of the organization.
  • Active participation in Product Sales initiatives.
  • Become a registered member and maintain membership of GSUSA.
  • Physical ability to lift, carry, push, pull or move objects up to 25 lbs.
