Job description

Description:

Must be willing to relocate to Tucson, Phoenix, or Las Vegas. If not living in Tucson, must willing to travel to Tucson up to 75% of the time.

What You Will Be Doing

EMA is looking for an Electrical Engineer with an Arizona PE license (or ability to obtain) who has experience in the water and wastewater industry to provide technical leadership and project management for consulting and engineering services. This role combines hands-on electrical and controls design with team leadership, client engagement, and project delivery responsibilities. The successful candidate will lead project teams, develop scopes of work and cost estimates, mentor junior staff, and serve as a trusted technical advisor to clients.

  • Support critical infrastructure projects involving water and wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, wells, and associated facilities through the entire project lifecycle.

Who You Are

You’re a collaborative electrical engineering professional who thrives working alongside operations staff, field crews, and fellow engineers to deliver practical, buildable solutions. Based in (or open to relocating to) the Tucson, AZ area, you’re comfortable leading project teams, balancing multiple priorities, and bringing projects across the finish line. You communicate clearly, whether developing client-facing reports, facilitating discussions, or translating technical concepts for non-technical audiences and you enjoy mentoring others and strengthening team capability along the way. You bring a client-first mindset, value long-term relationships, and are energized by contributing to business development. Ideally, your background includes electrical design for water and wastewater facilities, power distribution and motor control centers, standby power systems, and instrumentation & controls including PLCs, SCADA integration, and process coordination, all grounded in real-world collaboration with operators and contractors to ensure designs are practical to construct, operate, and maintain.

Who We Are
