Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated ERP System Support Specialist to join our Information Technology Services team. This position plays a key role in the support, maintenance, and configuration of our enterprise applications, primarily Ellucian Banner and its integrated systems. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with ERP support, report writing, and system integrations, along with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. The position works under general supervision with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. This is an exempt, staff position reporting to the Director of Enterprise Applications.
Duties/Responsibilities
  • Receive and work incidents and service requests submitted by users for multiple applications across three colleges
  • Provide technical support for the Ellucian Banner ERP system and related applications
  • Write and maintain reports using SQL and PostgreSQL
  • Assist with the implementation, configuration, maintenance, monitoring, and support of Banner and integrated enterprise systems
  • Work with third-party vendor integrations and support API development and maintenance
  • Support Ellucian Cloud Applications
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and collaborate with business units to deliver effective solutions
  • Maintain documentation for workflows, configurations, and system procedures
  • May be required to travel to work-related conferences, in and out of state
  • Performs other related tasks as needed

Minimum/Preferred Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science or related area with two years of experience OR a related associate degree with three years of experience.
  • Demonstrated experience with ERP systems such as Ellucian Banner or similar enterprise software.
  • Proficiency with SQL and experience writing and maintaining queries or reports (PostgreSQL preferred).
  • Familiarity with system integrations and APIs, including experience supporting third-party or vendor integrations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and functional users.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects and meet established deadlines

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience supporting Ellucian Banner and its associated modules or applications (e.g., Self-Service Banner, DegreeWorks, Argos, FormFusion, IntelleCheck, Xtender, or Experience).
  • Familiarity with Ellucian ETHOS, DataConnect, and ISE Enterprise SCHEDULE.
  • Experience working with Ellucian Cloud Applications or SaaS environments.
  • Knowledge of TouchNet, Axiom, or other third-party integrations commonly used in higher education.
  • Understanding of relational databases and reporting tools.
  • Experience developing or maintaining technical documentation and workflow procedures.
