Travel Registered Nurse (RN) โ€“ Medical Surgical Unit.
Location: Baton Rouge.
Company: Geaux Care Staffing.
Contract Length: 13 Weeks.
Schedule: 3x12s | 36 Hours/Week.
Shift: Days.
Pay: Gross Weekly Pay up to $2,052/week.
Travel Requirement: Must reside greater than 50 miles from the facility โ€” local clinicians are not eligible for this assignment.
Position Overview:
Geaux Care Staffing is seeking an experienced and dependable Travel Registered Nurse (RN) for a Medical Surgical unit assignment in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. This opportunity is ideal for a compassionate nurse who thrives in a fast-paced acute care environment and is committed to delivering high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care to adult medical-surgical patients.
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
  • Monitor patient conditions and report changes appropriately.
  • Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately.
  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the EMR system.

Requirements:
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent Medical Surgical experience preferred.
  • Current BLS certification required.
  • Current NIHSS certification required.
  • ACLS certification preferred.
  • Strong clinical assessment and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
