Role Overview
The Director of Operations is responsible for monitoring the production operations of multiple foundation repair companies, implementing new and improved procedures, and identifying opportunities to improve production capacity and efficiency across the entire Basement Kings USA network. This individual will be in constant contact with the production leadership at each company to ensure that the company is taking advantage of all possible opportunities and use those interactions to inform recommendations for the purchase or implementation of new tools, procedures, software, and systems.
Ideal candidates have have a passion for developing systems and fixing problems, experience in the trades (preferably foundation repair, waterproofing, and/or underpinning), and are comfortable using and implementing technology.
The Director of Operations will be required to travel up to 6-8 days per month to visit companies and potential new partners. Less travel will be required for candidates who live near an existing company.
Key Responsibilities
● Serve as the primary point of contact between Basement Kings USA and production leadership at operating companies.
● Manage an operations dashboard measuring job profitability, crew utilization, backlog health, and margin performance.
● Work with the Revenue Operations team to manage software deployments and ensure that production departments are fully utilizing all tools available to them.
● Support training programs to encourage safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
● Foster a culture of leadership, accountability, communication, and continuous improvement within each operating company.
● Partner with deal teams to conduct operational diligence, identifying key risks, synergies, and integration priorities prior to close.
● Implement integration plans for future companies BKUSA’s partners with, identifying needs and desires, rolling out new software, and ensuring a smooth transition.
Qualifications
● 5+ years of experience in construction management or operations management.
● Proven track record working with key software (ServiceTitan, QBO, ADP, Salesforce, or similar).
● Deep understanding of field service workflows: job costing, scheduling, materials management, and customer experience.
● Process-oriented mindset with a bias for execution and continuous improvement.
● Comfortable managing a fast-paced, evolving set of responsibilities with autonomy
