Job Description

Project Title:ย Digital Strategy/CRM Leadย 

Project Length:ย 6-8 weeksย (July-Aug)ย 

Project Hours:ย ย Est:ย up to 40ย hrsย a week (MUST BE AVAILABLE DURING BUSINESS HOURS 9-5PM EST)ย 

Fixed Fee Range:ย Est:ย 10k-12k.ย Final compensation will beย determinedย based on experience, skills and agreed-upon scope and monthly deliverables rather than tracked hours.ย This is aย fixed-fee project, not an hourly engagement.ย You will be paid out monthlyย on a netย 30 dayย schedule.ย 

Location:ย New York,ย NYย or Remoteย 

We'reย looking for an experienced digital marketing strategist to provide coverage whileย we scale our strategy practice and backfill senior capacity. This is a temporary engagement runningย approximatelyย 6-8 weeks, with some overlap for handoff and context-setting.ย ย 

The right person is comfortable operating across growth marketing,ย emailย and SEOย - not necessarily as a deep specialist in each, but as a strategic lead who can keep momentum, support our strategists, and hold the standard of work our clients expect.ย Priorย experienceย with Adobeย Analytics,ย AJOย andย CJAย isย helpful in this role.ย 

Importantly, this is not a purely supervisory role - we expectย our leadersย stayย close to the work andย deliverย asย anย individual contributorย alongside the team.ย 

What coverage will include:ย 

  • Growth marketing oversightย -ย Serveย as a strategic thought partner and quality check for ourย digitalย strategyย team acrossย severalย accounts, while also rolling up your sleeves to develop frameworks, shape briefs, and contribute directly to strategy deliverables when the work calls for it.ย 

  • Email marketing oversightย - Provideย strategic direction across severalย accounts,ย shaping new initiatives with clients and translating them into operational plans. This roleย helps toย guide ongoing task prioritizationย and stays close to the work throughout:ย reviewingย copy, evaluatingย campaign architecture, and flagging anyย execution gaps before they reach the client.ย Includesย overseeing andย contributing to performance reporting, with the ability to present results and strategic implications directly to clients.ย 

  • SEO leadershipย - Own strategicย oversightย on a handful of accounts, including hands-on maintenance of existing roadmaps, audit reviews, and prioritization guidance. You will serve as a translation layer between technical SEO specialists and client and internal teams. This includes contributing to bi-weekly performance reporting - pulling insights,ย identifyingย trends, translating data into clear recommendations - and being prepared to walk clients through performance in senior-level conversations.ย 

  • Client-facing presenceย - Join key meetings as needed, leading senior-level conversations, and being prepared to present work - including performanceย updatesย thatย you'veย had a direct hand in shaping.ย 

  • Cross-functional coordinationย - Collaborating actively with Paid Media, Creative, and Account leads to keep integrated workstreams moving - less about managing handoffs, more about being in the room and contributing to decisions.ย 

Qualifications
  • Available to work a full-time short-term contract role on EST hours
  • Proven experience leading digital strategy across integrated channels including CRM/email, SEO, and growth marketing within agency, consulting, or complex client-service environments
  • Strong understanding of lifecycle marketing, customer journeys, campaign architecture, and performance-driven digital strategy across enterprise or multi-stakeholder accounts
  • Hands-on experience reviewing performance data, extracting actionable insights, and translating analytics into strategic recommendations for clients and internal teams
  • Familiarity with Adobe Analytics, Adobe Journey Optimizer (AJO), and Customer Journey Analytics (CJA); ability to operate comfortably within modern martech and reporting ecosystems
  • Ability to confidently lead senior-level client conversations, present strategic recommendations, and guide workstreams with executive presence and sound judgment
  • Experience partnering cross-functionally with Paid Media, Creative, Account, and technical teams to keep integrated initiatives moving effectively
  • Comfortable operating as both a strategic lead and individual contributor - able to step into the work directly, shape deliverables, review outputs, and provide hands-on support where needed
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously in fast-moving environments with minimal oversight
