Commercial Drywall Estimator
Location: Onsite – Northeast Fort Worth, TX
Employment Type: Full-Time
Industry: Commercial Wall Systems (Drywall Division)
Experience Level: Mid-Senior Level (5+ Years Required)

About Us

We are a high-performing commercial subcontractor specializing in large-scale façade and interior wall systems across Texas. Our work spans drywall, plaster/EIFS, and masonry, with a focus on complex, high-value commercial construction projects. We pride ourselves on speed, accuracy, and teamwork—delivering results without cutting corners.

We’re currently seeking an experienced Drywall Estimator to join our fast-paced estimating department. This role is 100% focused on estimating—not a dual role with project management—and will play a key role in helping us win high-profile jobs in a competitive market.

Position Overview

The Drywall Estimator is responsible for producing accurate, timely, and competitive bids for large-scale commercial construction projects across the DFW metroplex. This role is ideal for someone who understands the local market dynamics and has a proven track record of winning work in the DFW drywall industry.

This is a full-time, in-office position based in Northeast Fort Worth. No travel required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze drawings, plans, and specifications to determine project scope and materials

  • Prepare accurate and detailed takeoffs using estimating software (Buzz Bid or similar)

  • Develop and submit competitive bid packages under tight deadlines

  • Collaborate with internal teams to align bids with production capabilities

  • Maintain organized estimating documentation and historical cost data

  • Manage multiple estimates simultaneously in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience estimating commercial drywall projects in the Dallas-Fort Worth market

  • Deep familiarity with local subcontractor pricing, bid environments, and what it takes to win

  • Proficiency with Buzz Bid or similar platforms (OST, Quick Bid)

  • Strong blueprint reading and takeoff skills

  • Excellent time management and organizational abilities

  • Ability to handle high-volume estimating with consistent accuracy

  • Team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications
  • Field experience in commercial drywall construction

  • Familiarity with general contractor bid processes and procurement cycles

  • Experience estimating for multi-scope façade packages (drywall, plaster, masonry)

Project Types You’ll Be Estimating
  • Ground-up office buildings (multi-story)

  • Hospitals and healthcare facilities

  • Higher education and senior living campuses

  • Government buildings (courthouses, police/fire stations)

  • Hotels, retail centers, data centers, and city event venues

Compensation and Benefits
  • Competitive salary based on experience

  • Bonus opportunities tied to performance

  • Health, dental, and vision insurance

  • 401(k) with company match

  • Paid time off and holidays

  • Stable, in-office schedule (no travel)

  • Fast-moving, results-driven team environment
