Job description

Direct Support ID/DD-

New Hope Services is looking for Direct Support Staff with the primary responsibility of assisting intellectually and developmentally disabled adults. New Hope Services, located in Pittsburg and Valley Center, Kansas, provides developmentally disabled clients with the services and support they need to empower them to live independently within their community. Medicalodges has developed, in New Hope Service, the expertise and highly trained personnel that are necessary to help people with developmental disabilities move into residential settings and personal homes and away from institutions.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and assist individuals with personal independence, encouraging positive productivity in the community and for workplace, and promoting community inclusion and integration.
  • Supervise and assist individuals in the daily maintenance and cleaning of their home and work environment.
  • Supervise and assist individuals with meal planning, preparation, and shopping and money management.
  • Record and report all pertinent information.
  • Assist/supervise/monitor person during preparation and clean up of meals.
  • Participate in direct care of all persons to maintain good physical and mental health.
  • Schedule a variety of activities to motivate participation by consumer.

Job Requirements:
